IKKAKU is a range of beautifully crafted pens, made from premium ebonite, and coated in layers of urushi lacquer in a process that takes months to complete. Layers of decoration and lacquer are build up by hand, with careful attention to detail.
Ye-Yu translates to 'nightly feathers', and the Japanese 'raden' technique is used here to apply pieces of shell, inlaid into the layers of urushi lacquer to resemble the feathers of a nightingale.
149mm long, 13mm wide, weights 37g. 14-carat gold nib. Cartridge/converter filled, or use silicone grease to use as an eyedropper-filled pen.
