Onoto The Neko Fountain Pen Silver Limited Edition
The design of the Onoto Magna Classic is based on one of the most famous fountain pens ever made - the Onoto Magna of 1937, which some have dubbed 'the best fountain pen ever made'.
Onoto pens are on occasion designed to commemorate influential historical persons, institutions and other circumstances where a special pen would pay the perfect homage.
The Neko (which is 'cat' in Japanese) commemorates one of Japan's greatest writers, Natsume Soseki, and his most famous work I am a Cat. He was also an Onoto afficionado, and wrote in 1911 of his experiences with his Onoto fountain pen. This is a special edition, limited to just 49.
Made from high density acrylic which has been polished to a glossy sheen, this is a satisfyingly robust pen, with polished sterling silver trim in the form of 3 cap bands, a pocket clip inscribed with a chevron pattern and the Onoto logo, and a cap button crowned with a cat. The barrel is inscribed with the writer's name in Japanese characters.
Fitted with a gold-plated stainless steel Onoto size 7 nib, available in a range of sizes. Refill with widely-available standard pattern ink cartridges, or fit a converter (supplied with the pen) to use bottled ink.
Available with two weight options: 25g or 32g. Use the drop-down list to select your preference.
Dimensions: closed 144mm, uncapped 127mm, posted 166mm.
Supplied in a luxury gift box.
