Pelikan Souverän M600 Limited Edition Fountain Pen Art Collection Rudi Rother
This Special Edition Pelikan Souverän M600 fountain pen is a really stunning representation of the work of Rudi Rother, a German painter and illustrator who won the Pelikan Art Competition in 1903. While he was known for his pen and ink drawings, this Souverän pen takes its inspiration from his use of colour, with the bright flowing lines on the barrel echoing the patterning on the dress of the woman in the award-winning work. He was highly influential for commercial artwork, as part of the Jugendstil, Germany's art nouveau movement.
The barrel is created using an 'aurora' process, using a brass tube with an intricate guilloche pattern to create a holographic effect, with ten layers of lacquer over the top to create a smooth surface for the printed pattern. Multiple rounds of polishing then create the high sheen to finish the look.
Fitted with a 14 carat bi-colour gold nib available in a range of sizes. Piston-filling mechanism suitable for use with all fountain pen inks.
