Platinum #3776 Century Fountain Pen Fuji Unkei "Kinu-Gumo"
Part of Platinum's series of pens inspired by Mount Fuji. The first set was inspired by the lakes around Fuji-san. The second set was inspired by the seasonal changes around the mountain. This third set, Fuji Unkei, takes inspiration from the clouds that surround Mount Fuji, requiring more delicate decorative work.
Kinu-Gomo means cirrus clouds, with Kinu being the Japanese word for silk. These delicate, wispy clouds have a thin, feathery appearance. To represent them on the transparent pen barrel, Platinum have used a combination of guilloche and v-blade engraving techniques.
Supplied in an exclusive gift box along with a converter, an ink cartridge and a bottle of exclusive ink.
The Platinum #3776 Century range uses the 'Slip and Seal' airtight cap. The innovative screw-on cap system uses an inner plastic seal with a strong spring. The primary benefit of this system is improved storage ability - the ink will not dry out even if left for over a year. An added benefit is improved resistance to leaks due to pressure changes.
Slip and Seal cap pens are compatible with Platinum Carbon and Pigment inks for everyday use.
The #3776 name comes from the height in metres of Mt.Fuji, the highest and most beautiful peak in Japan.
