The barrel finish has been achieved by applying blast processing while the surface reflection has been softened to produce a mist-like effect, from which the name 'Black Mist' comes. Hi-tech feed system ensures reliable ink flow. The advanced 'Slip and Seal' cap design is claimed to give one year's protection against the ink drying out.
