• Fluorine-coated blades stop sticky stuff sticking. Ever cut a taped-up package with scissors and ended up with tape stuck to the blades? Yep, so have we. With these, it shouldn't stick, or at least, it'll come off easily.
• Standard scissors cut at a very different angle as you close the blades - starting very obtuse, but leading to a very acute angle as the cut approaches the tip. The curved blades of these scissors means the angle stays close to the ideal 30-degree cutting angle all the way.
• The ring around the centre joint makes the two parts more stable, with less possible movement, and a more precise cutting action.
• The blades are made to touch only as they actually cut, reducing the tendency for tape to stick to the blades when cutting through paper or card with tape on it.

• Rounded tips make them safer.
• The supplied blade cover makes them safer to carry. You probably still shouldn't run with them, but as long as the cover is on, you should be relatively safe. Note - the blade cover may not prevent flashbacks to the teacher shouting at you. Don't run with scissors.
