Retro 51 Pan Am Japan Poster Rollerball Pen
As Retro 51 puts it, 'Life is too short to carry an ugly pen'. And we agree. Their bright colours and cool designs have more than a hint of nostalgia about them, and all their pencils are made with good old-fashioned values in mind.
The Pan Am takes its name from Pan American Airlines which operated from 1927 until 1991. They were best known for being part of the modernisation of airline travel in the 60s with many of the travel advertisements created by the airline becoming iconic and well remembered in the US.
Taking flight for the first time on a journey from New York to London was the newest Pan American World Airways jumbo jet. The new wide-bodied aircraft took its first historic flight in January of 1970 and continued to revolutionise air travel. With its spacious interior and increased flight capacity, it helped lower air travel costs making flying even more accessible.
Each one is packaged in a Pan Am graphic tube that doubles as a pen stand or carrying case when not in use.
Refill with standard Parker style refills.
