Sailor's Manyo inks range is named for 'Manyosyu', the 'Collection of Ten Thousand Leaves', which is Japan's oldest and most revered anthology of poetry. It comprises over 4,000 poems written over a period of 400 years by people from all walks of life from emperors to farmers.
This limited edition collection celebrates food, and each square glass bottle contains 50ml of dye-based ink, suitable for use in all fountain pens.
- Aka Mai - the first rice introduced in Japan ('ancient rice') - pale taupe
- Kaki - persimmon, eaten either fresh or dried - orange
- Nobiru - a wild vegetable with a garlic aroma and leek-like taste - green
- Takenoko - bamboo - yellow-green
- Uri - a melon-like cucumber - sage-green
