Sun-Star Nocfree Auto Mechanical Pencil

Sun-Star is a Japanese stationery company that plans, develops, manufactures and sells stationery and gifts with interesting and new design concepts.

The Nocfree is an automatic-advance pencil - a mechanical pencil that feeds the lead automatically, without you having to click the button. OK, clicking the button isn't hard, but it's a little distraction you can now do without. Great for taking notes, without risking missing a bit because you had to stop to click out more lead.

It may be that very Japanese thing of solving a problem you didn't know you had, but these things can be surprisingly helpful when that tiny problem is taken away.

The name is very literal. In Japan, the click mechanism on pens and pencils is known as the 'knock', so this pencil is 'knock-free'.
