The Well-Appointed Desk Col-o-ring Ink Testing Book
When Ana at The Well-Appointed Desk ran out of her favourite ink testing pads, there was nothing else quite good enough to replace them. So she set about designing and making her own. With the help of Skylab Letterpress, where, rather conveniently, her husband worked, she began tracking down the perfect paper, and finding the best design for ink geeks everywhere.
We think she's succeeded. The result of all that work is 100 sheets of 160 gsm paper from Europe, bound together by a large ring. The paper is bright natural white and acid-free, with a nice texture - a little toothy, but not enough to catch nibs. It's finished with sturdy card covers with the Col-o-ring logo.
102 x 51 mm. (4" by 2" - the measurements are rounder numbers in Kansas City, where these are made.) 21 mm thick.
