Tom's Studio The Bloom Oblique Nib Holder Ivy

Tom's Studio is a little bit different to most pen makers. The first pen designed by Tom was inspired by his wife, Gemma, an avid calligrapher who used plastic mass-produced calligraphy pens which didn't reflect the quality of her work. He decided to take matters into his own hands. Combining his experience as a product designer and his background in furniture along with his experience working in a blacksmith's forge, he was able to manufacture a new pen for her. Tom's ideas for the stationery world took off from there; he founded Tom's Studio and has been using his creativity to create high quality unique pens and accessories ever since.

The Bloom oblique nib holder features the uniquely designed flange that features on other oblique nib holders from Tom's Studio. The nib holder is designed in such a way that it can hold a variety of nib sizes, from a Brause 66EF to a Nikko G nib. You just simply need to tighten or loosen the screw to accommodate the nib of your choice. It can also hold 3.5mm pencils leads if you so desire!

The nib angle is customisable, which allows you to achieve the perfect amount of pressure without risk of snagging. The body is curved and is a cross between the Carrot and Flourish designs, with enough grip and balance to make it feel comfortable and secure. The tail of the pen moves the centre of mass to the middle of the pen so it is neither top nor bottom heavy.

As a bonus, the Bloom has an inbuilt secret nib compartment (really) and can hold up to 3 nibs. So there is no need for pesky containers, just pop them in your pen!

Each pen is dip dyed by hand making every pen unique, and each one is machined from solid metals on a lathe used for making fine watch and aerospace grade components. It's designed to last.

The barrels are made from recyclable materials such brass and aluminium with no glues or unrecyclable plastics.
