Visconti Homo Sapiens Rollerball Pen Dark Age
Visconti Homo Sapiens 'Dark Age' is a beautifully unusual rollerball pen. Made from basaltic lava from Mount Etna in Sicily, the barrel is matt black, with tiny pale inclusions just visible. Polished black barrel- and cap rings complete the 'dark age' effect. It's virtually unbreakable, heatproof to over 100 °C and slightly hygroscopic in that it can absorb moisture from your hands. This last property, in combination with the warm and very tactile feel of the material means that this pen has a unique quality to the touch.
Quick-action bayonet fitting cap with the characteristic 'Visconti'-inscribed sprung pocket clip in polished black. Barrel ring is inscribed 'Homo Sapiens'.
Fitted with a Visconti AA40 medium blue ceramic tip liquid ink refill (unscrew the end cap to change the refill).
